FRIDAY, JANUARY 14, 1955
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City,
Friday, January 14, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 o' clock A.M. ( CST) Mr.
Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin
and Mr. Chambers. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
II A request was presented to the Board through the City Engineer for the
extsion of a water line to the newly annexed section of the City on
South 9th Street. This was taken under advisement until the Fire Chief
can make a study and investigation of water hydrants.
The following curb cut was allowed: 208 North 8th Street.
The Board conducted a hearing on Harvey Noble and Joe Brennan , both
members of the Richmond Fire Department, who were suspended by orders
of 'the Fire Chief January 10, 1955. Both members were heard and
waivered the written notice as is requested by law, and both agreed
to abide by the Board' s final decision. Both cases were taken under
advisement until the Board has agreed upon a final decision.
Claims in the amount of g57, 191.+5 were allowed.
There being no further business presented on motion duly made, se-
conded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
