OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1954.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City,
Friday, September 24, 1954, at the hour of 9: 00 o' clock A.M. (CST) .
Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr.
Hodgin and Mr. Chambers. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
The Clerk presented proofs of publication printed. in the xichmond
Palladium-Item, a newspaper on September 13-20, 1954, that sealed IIH
bids would be received for material and labor to do the work in
Improvement Resolution No. 989-1954. The proofs were ordered filed.
The following bids were opened and read aloud:
DeBolt Concrete Company $1986.50
DeLucio & Sons 1456.00
City Engineer Estimate 2194.00
On motion made by Hodgin and carried by Chambers the Board awarded
the contract to DeLucio & Sons.

On recommendation of. Captain Juerling the Board approved "No Parking"
on the south side of Southwest "D" Street from Southwest 1st to
Southwest 2nd Street.
The Board took under advisement the proposal of the Roger Pest Control
Company to purchase a parcel of ground belonging to the City near the
west side of the 20th Century Bridge.
Claims in the amount of $50, 763.56 were allowed. ,
There being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded
and carried, the meeting adjourned.
