OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 13, 1954.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
het in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City,
Friday, August 13, 1954, at the hour of 9: 00 o' clock A.M. ( CDST) . Mr.
'Coleman presiding with. the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin
and ivir; Chambers. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried , the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
A petition for the passage of a Resolution providing for the construct-
ion of a. Sanitary Sewer to serve real estate abutting on both sides
of West Main Street from the alley west of West 18th Street to the
West Corporation line of the City was received and referred to the
City Engineer to prepare e Resolution for the above request.
The Board approved the Richmond Telephone Company of installing two
- (2) public pay stations located at the following intersections: the
northeast corner of North 10th end "J" Streets and the northeast corner
of East Main and 30th Streets.
The Board recommended that Mr. Beck, Building Inspector•, issue a
wiring permit for a one-family house located at 18 Richmond. Avenue
the owner being Mrs. Ramsey.

The Clerk presented- proofs of publication printed in the Richmond
Palladium-Item, a newspaper on August 3-10, 1954, that bids would be
received on this date for the labor and material as provided. in
Improvement Resolution No. 98 3-1954. The proofs were ordered. filed.
The • one and only bid received was that of the DeBolt Concrete Company
in the sum of 41340. 00. The City Engineer estimate being $1340. 00.
On recommendation of the City Engineer the Board awarded the contract
for' Improvement Resolution No, 983-1954 to the DeBolt Concrete Company,
Claims in the amount of 4)30, 112. 44 were allowed.
There being no furtherbusiness presented on motion duly made, se-
conded and 'carried , the meeting adjourned.
