AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO;
ADOPTING A ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY;
ADOPTING AN OFFICIAL ZONING MAP; ESTABLISHING
ZONING DISTRICTS AND SETTING REGULATIONS
APPLICABLE TO USES WITHIN SUCH DISTRICTS;
REGULATING NON -CONFORMING USES;
ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ISSUANCE OF PERMITS;
REGULATING MISCELLANEOUS USES; PROVIDING
REGULATIONS FOR OFF-STREET PARKING AND
LOADING FACILITIES; ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES
FOR ADMINISTRATION OF VARIANCES; PROVIDING
FOR REPEAL OF PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND ESTABLISHING
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IONA, IDAHO, THAT:
Section 1. Adoption of Zoning Ordinance: A new Zoning Ordinance for the City
of Iona is hereby adopted in the form attached hereto as Exhibit "A", which Ordinance shall
be codified as a new Title 11 to the Iona City Code.
Section 2. Adoption of Zoning Map: The Zoning Map attached hereto as Exhibit
"B" is hereby adopted as the official Zoning Map for the City of Iona, Idaho.
Section 3. Repeal of Prior Zoning Ordinance: Ordinance No. 29 of the City of
Iona, all amendments thereto, and all other zoning and police regulations that are inconsistent
with the terms and provisions of the Zoning Ordinance adopted in Section 1 hereof, shall be
and hereby are repealed.
Section 4. Preservation of Prior Ordinance: All sections of Ordinance 29 or
other ordinances repealed by this Ordinance shall remain in force to authorize the arrest,
prosecution, conviction and punishment of any person who violates said Ordinances prior
to the effective date of this Ordinance.
Section 5. Severability: The provisions of this Ordinance are severable. In the
event any provision shall be determined to be void or unenforceable for any reason, such
determination shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Section 6. Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective upon its
passage, execution and publication in the manner provided by law.

NOTICE OF OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that on March 17, 1999, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., at the City
Council Chambers, Iona City Hall, Iona, Idaho, a public hearing will be conducted for the
purpose of considering the adoption of a new Zoning Ordinance for the City of Iona, Idaho.
The proposed Zoning Ordinance establishes zoning districts within the City, and
provides regulations applicable thereto. It also establishes regulations for parking, variances,
non -conforming uses and various other miscellaneous uses.
The public is invited to attend and present comment regarding the adoption of such
Ordinance.
