FRIDAY, JUNE 25, 1954.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in ,regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City,
Friday, June 25, 1954, at the hour of 9: 00 o' clock A.M. (CDST) . Mr.
Coleman presiding with the following members present: Mr. Hodgin and
Mr. Chambers. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
The Clerk presented proofs of publication printed in the Richmond .
Palladium-Item, a newspaper on the dates of June 2-9, 1954, that
sealed ,bids would be received for the labor and material to construct
a new Fire Station #6 in the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proofs
were ordered filed.
The following bids were received, opened and read aloud:
E. S. Bultman 56, 4.27.00
Arthur Thomas and Sons $61, 34.3. 00
City Engineer Estimate 06o,000. 00
All of ,the above bids were taken under advisement until after the
bonds are soli which will be July 1, 1954.
On recommendation of the City Engineer the Board accepted the bid
of the FraiMalotte Machinery Company for the Street Grader which
was received June 18, 1954.

The Board unanimously adopted Preliminary Assessment Roll No. 974-
1953 and instructed the Clerk to advertise for a public hearing to
be held. July 23, 195.4.
The Clerk was instructed to advertise for Coal and Fuel Oil to be
used by the various departments of the City for the coming heating
season. ,
On recommendation of Captain Juerling the Board approved the removal
of one parking meter in front of. the Rite-Way Taxi Cab Co. on South
5th Street.
Claims in the amount of 5;27, 7+0.02 were allowed.
There being no further. business presented on motion duly made, se-
conded and carried, the meeting adjourned.
