FRIDAY, JUNE 11, 1954.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City
Friday, June 11,, 1954, at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. ( CDST) . Mr.
Coleman presiding with the following members present: Mr. Hodgin and
Mr. Chambers. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
II On recommendation of the City Engineer the Board awarded the contract
for an Oil Burner for the City Hall to Niewoehner-Nicklas, Inc. in the
fum of $1699.00.
The Board adopted Improvement Resolution No. 981-1954, to improve
the alley between North "E" Street and Glen Court, from North 21st
Street to North 22nd Street, by the construction of a concrete road-
way the full width of said alley in accordance with the profile, de-
tails, drawings, and specifications on file. The Clerk to prepare
the advertising for a public hearing to be held on July 2, 1954.
_ The Board ordered street lights installed at the following locations
as per specification of the Light Plant:
Intersection of
North 12th and "H" Street
North 12th and "I" Street
North 12th and "J" Street
The Board approved the following curb cuts: 165 Southwest 14th Street
for driveway: 20 South 12th Street to be cut in two places for used
car lot.
Claims in the amount of $26,815. 31 were allowed.
IIThere being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded
and carried, the meeting adjourned.
