AN ORDINANCE FOR REVISING, CODIFYING AND
COMPILING THE GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF IONA, IDAHO, AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE OFFICIAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF IONA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IONA, IDAHO THAT:
Section 1. Adoption of City Code. The City Code of the City of Iona, 1999
edition, as heretofore filed with the City Clerk, is hereby adopted as the official City Code
of all ordinances of a general and permanent character of the City of Iona, Idaho.
Section 2. Procedure for Amendment. Each provision of the official City Code
that is hereafter amended, repealed or otherwise modified shall be printed and inserted within
(or removed from, as the case may be) each copy of the bound volume of the official City
Code within thirty (30) days after the date the Ordinance making such modification is
adopted. Each new provision shall become effective upon such insertion, and when so
published, no further publication in the official newspaper shall be required.
Section 3. Copies on File. At least one (1) current copy of the official City Code
shall be kept on file and available for inspection at all times in the office of the City Clerk.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be become effective upon its
passage, execution and publication in the manner provided by law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 17th day
of February. 1999.
