FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1953, The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday, September 25, 1953, at the hour of 9: 00 o ' clock A,M, (CDS'!) , Mrs Coleman presiding with the following- members being present: Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth.,- The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the mintues of the pre- vious meeting were dispensed with. Mr. Chapman, Press , of Jr. Chamber of Commerce requested to stencil signs on the sidewalk during Fire Prevention Week was declined by the Board, Mr. Robert Allen appeared before the board in behalf of the petitioners for opening West Main Street to the Corporate line, The City Engineer was requested to have the estimated costs of paving the street with various materials ready for next Friday. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution Number 971-1953, to construct a "Sanitary Sewer" to serve the vicinity of Soutin 13th South loth and South "0". Streets, from South "0" to the present Intercepting Sewer, The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution Number 972-1953, to construct a "Sanitary Sewer" to serve the vicinity of South 3rd Street, from South "L" to South "N" . Streets. The Clerk presented proofs of publications printed in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in said City on Sept. 10-17, 1953, that sealed bids would be received on this date at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. (CST) for three cars for the Police Department, The proofs were ordered received and filed. The appraisers appointed by the Judge of Wayne Circuit Court appraised the following three cars of the Police Depar.•tment and set the following value: 1950 Chevrolet $350. 00 1952 Ford 757.00 1952 Ford 600, 00 The following bids wer opened and read aloud: Dee Meadows, Richmond, Indiana.
