FRIDAY, AUGUST 14,, 1953
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City,
Friday, August 14, . 1953, at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. (CDST) . Mr.
Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin
and Mr. Haworth. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.
The Board unanimously adopted the Assessment Rolls No. 956-1952, No.
960-1952 and No. 962-1952.
The Clerk presented proofs of Publication printed in the Richmond
Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in said City printed
on July 27th and August 3, 1953, that a public hearing would be held
on Improvement Resolution No, 967-1953. The proofs were ordered filed.
All persons present who were interested or property that would be effected
were heard. The benefits that will accure to the property abutting and
adjacent to the proposed improvement and to the said City will be equal
to or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvement as estimated .
by the City Engineer. The Board now confirms Improvement Resolution No.
967-1953 as adopted and instructed. the Clerk to prepare the advertise-
ment for bids to be received for labor and material to do the work.
The Board allowed the claims in the amount of 12, 307. 31.
There being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded
and carried, the meeting adjourned.
