OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA
IIFRIDAY, JUNE 5, 1953. .
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in- regular session in the City Hall in said City on Friday, June 5,
1953, at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. (CDST) . Mr. Coleman presiding
with the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth.
The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with.

" On recommendation of the City Engineer the Board unanimously voted to
-Z) adopt Improvement Resolution No. 6 19 toalley

.-; south of West Main Street, between Southwest 9th Street and Southwest
10th Street, by the construction of a concrete roadway the full width
of said alley in accordance with the profile, details, drawings and
specific tions on file i the office of the Board of Public Works and

A request for fire mains near the vicinities of South 10th and "M"
Streets and South 13th and "0" Streets was referred to the Fire Chief
and City Engineer to study and recommend.
The Clerk was authorized to Prepare the advertisement to receive bids
II on the 26th day of June, 1953 for furnishing labor and material to paint
the interior of the City Hall both floors.
Mr. Coleman issued each department head the 1954 Budget estimates to
be completed July 6, 1953.
The City Engineer was ordered to make a check in the price of an over-
head type of flasher signal to make a four-way stop at the intersection
of South 23rd And "E" Streets.
Claims in the amount of • 24, 308, 90 were allowed.
There being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded
and carried, the meeting adjourned,
