REGULAR MEETING
A Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret was called to order by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman at 6:00
P.M., Thursday March 23, 2017, Council Chambers, Memorial
Municipal Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon Individual Roll Call Vote the following were noted present:

STATEMENT OF The Clerk stated that on January 6, 2017, the 2017 Annual Notice
MEETING NOTICE was mailed to The Home News Tribune, The Star Ledger and
posted on the Bulletin Board. Notice was published in The Home
News Tribune and The Star Ledger on January 11, 2017.
Upon MMS &C by Councilmembers Diaz and Bellino and
MINUTES FOR unanimous affirmative vote of the four (4)) Councilmembers
APPROVAL present, the Minutes of March 9, 2017 were approved and
engrossed by the Clerk.

appearing on the prepared list, properly audited and signed, were
PAYMENT OF BILLS ordered to be paid. Upon Individual Roll Call Vote
Councilmembers Bellino, DiMascio, Diaz and Naples voted in the
Affirmative.
NOTED ABSENT
Councilmembers Johal & Krum were noted absent.
COMMITTEES COMMITTEES:
BUILDINGS & GROUNDS — In the absence of Committee
Chairperson Johal, Mayor Reiman reported Progress.
FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION — Committee Chairperson Diaz
reported that the sewer Tax Bills have been mailed out and that
there is a grace period until April 15, 2017

The Mayor added that generally there is a $200.00 tax cut. THE MAYOR
FIRE & DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS — In the absence of Committee
Chairperson Krum Mayor Reiman reported progress.
PARKS, RECREATION & PUBLIC PROPERTY — Committee
Chairperson Bellino reported that business is as usual. They are
working on the concert programs. He reported progress.
POLICE: Committee Chairperson Naples reported that there was a
neighborhood watch program regarding car thefts. Captain
Wargocki provided valuable information. The next meeting is
April 12, 2017
PUBLIC WORKS: Committee Chairperson DiMascio reported that
the guys did a good job with the recent snowfall. He reported
progress.
BOARD OF EDUCATION: Committee Chairperson Naples reported
progress.
After no further discussion, upon MMS &C by Councilmembers ADJOURNED
Diaz and Bellino and unanimous affirmative vote of the four (4)
Councilmembers present, the meeting was Adjourned at
approximately 6:05 P.M.
