II The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday, January 2, 1953, at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. (CST) . Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members present: Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting:were dispensed with. �.; On recommendation of the Fire Chief the Board unanimously approved . appointment of Ray Kinder as regular fireman as of January 1, 1953. N The Clerkpresented printed in the Richmond proofs . of publication Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Rich- mond on the date of December 8th and 15th, 1952, that sealed bids would be received on this date at 9: 00 A.M. for one (1) new 5 passenger coupe for the Dairy Inspector. The proofs were ordered filed. The following bids were received, opened and read aloud. All bids were taken under advisement. The Clerk presented proofs of publication printed in the Richmond Palladium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Rich- mond on the dates of December 8th and 15th, 1952, that sealed bids would be received on this date at 9:00 A.M. for one (1) new truck for the Fire Department. The proofs were ordered filed. The following bids were received, opened and read aloud. On recommendation of the Fire Chief and the City Il'ngineer the board approved the acceptance of the Willoughby Chevrolet Co. The Clerk presented proofs of publication printed in the Richmond Palla- dium-Item, a newspaper of general circulation on the dates of December 8th and 15th, 1952, that sealed bids would be received on this date at 9: 00 A.M. for work and material to construct a Sanitary Sewer on Liberty Avenue as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 963-1952. The proofs were ordered filed. The following bid was received: DeBolt Concrete Company Total Bid $4,534.50 The City Engineers estimate $4.,537.00 On recommendation of the City Engineer the Board approved the acceptance of the DeBolt Concrete Company. The Board unanimously adopted the following preliminary assessment rolls: Improvement Resolution No. 955-1952, Improvement Resolution No. 958- 1952, and Improvement Resolution No. 959-1952. The Clerk to prepare the proper advertising for a public hearing to be held on January 30, 19539 at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. (CST) .
