AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA.

The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday,
October 10, 1952, at the hour of 9:00 o'clock A.M. (cst) . Mr. Coleman
presiding with the following member being present: Mr. Hodgin. Mr.
Chambers was present representing Mr. Haworth. The following business was
had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispensed with. •
�; Mr. Robert Daly, General Chairman of the Fall Festival, appeared before
`:' the Board and presented a complete outline of program for the Fall Open
House Festival to be held October 23, 24, and 25. Permission was granted
to Mr. Daly to use the Market House parking lot for equipment to be used
by the Free High Act. Permission was also granted said Mr. Daly to use
a sound truck device on October 25 between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 P.M.
This permission was granted upon the recommendation of the Mayor.
The request of the manager of the Guarantee Tire and Rubber Company
located at the Northwest corder of 6th and Main Street for a loading and
unloading zone on 6th Street was referred to Capt. Juerling to investigate
and recommend.
On recommendation of Capt. Juerling the Board approved making North "C"
Street from North 7th to 16th Streets a one-way street to westbound traffic
and prohibit parking of cars on the south side of "C" Street. This to be
effective as soon as the proper signs are installed.
On recommendation of Capt. Juerling the Board approved making South 5th
and "L" Street a 4-way stop intersection.

There being no further business presented on motion duly made, seconded.
and carried the meeting adjourned.
