A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE FISCAL YEAR 2014 CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND FUNDING
ALLOCATIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (HOME) GRANT PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, in order to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
and HOME Investment Partnership Grant (HOME) funds, the Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD) requires cities'to submit a Consolidated Annual Action
Plan which serves as a planning document, an application for federal funds, a strategy
to be followed in carrying out CDBG and HOME funded activities and a basis for
assessing performance; and
WHEREAS, the City expects to have $1,126,616 in CDBG funds and $344,260 in
HOME funds for a total of $1,470,876 in federal funds available for Fiscal Year (FY)
2014, to carry out goals set in the City's 5 -year Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's Community Development Block Grant
Advisory Commission has conducted the required Public Hearings to obtain citizen input
on the draft Consolidated Annual Action Plan for FY 2014; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has reviewed the draft FY 2014
Consolidated Annual Action Plan and taken into consideration public comments /input
relating to Lynwood's community development and housing needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Lynwood City Council approves the FY 2014 Consolidated
Annual Action Plan, and any amendments made at the April 15, 2014 City Council
meeting.
Section 2. The Lynwood City Council approves the following allocations and
activities for FY 2014, with the use of CDBG and HOME grant program funds:

Section 3. This Resolution authorizes the required submittal of the FY 2014
Consolidated Annual Action Plan and CDBG and HOME funding applications and
certifications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
