IIThe -Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday, June 27, 1952, at the hour of 8:00 A.M. (c. s. t. ) . Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. On recommendation of the City Engineer, the Board approved to modify Improvement Resolution No. 954-1952, to exclude the improvement of the 1a second alley east of Northwest lst Street, south from Northwest "E" Street to the alley between Northwest "E" Street and Richmond Avenue, by con- ' struction of a concrete roadway the full width of said alley. r.� The Clerk presented proofs of publication that a public hearing would be held on improvement Resolution No. 955-1952, at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. ( c. s. t. ) . The proofs were ordered filed. The Board meets to hear all present who desired to express themselves on Improvement Resolution. On recommendation of the City Engineers the Board modified Improvement Resolution No. 955-1952 to exclude 92 feet off the west end of Lot No. 227 which is owned by Laberta F. Scott. The Clerk presented proofs of publication that a public hearing would be held on Declaratory Resolution No. 8-1952, to vacate an alley. The hearing to be held on this date at 9: 00 o' clock A.M. (c. s. t. ) ,II The proofs were ordered filed. The Board meets to hear all present who desired to be heard on said resolution. No remonstrances were filed or presented. The Board confirmed Declaratory Resolution No. 8-1952 as adopted. • The Clerk presented proofs of publication that bids would be received for a ne car for the Fire Chief. The proofs were ordered filed. The following bids were opened and read aloud. Vivian Buick, Inc. 1-1952 Buick Tudor Special 8 cylinder equipped with Cynaflow drive, heater and defroster seat covers, spare tire, tube, safety rims, maroon color, less Federal Taxes 69115l,89 Allowance for 1947 Pontiac 951.89 Total Price p1,500.00 D. Meadows Ford Sales 1-1952 Customline Tudor Sedan equipped with Fordomatic Drive, Oil filter, Oil bath Air cleaner, Fresh air heater, electric clock and seat covers: 101 H. P. 6 cylinder motor $2,027. 23 111 Allowance for 1947 Pontiae 827.23 Total Price °>l,2.00.00 Add 875.00 for 8 cylinder car Federal Taxes have been deducted. 23 Rhodes Motor Sales 1-1952 Desoto 2 door sedan Model S17V8 Maroon color equipped with 760x15 tires, spare wheel tire and tube Cartridge type wil filter, oil bath cleaner, automatic transmission, elastic seat covers including other equipment and safety rims2, 903. 75, Allowance for 1947 Pontiac 1,000. 00 Total price -.--411'903.75 Add 880.30 for heater. Federal Taxes have been deducted. The Clerk presented the appraisers value on the 1947 Pontiac and it was 8350. 00. On recommendation of the Fire Chief the Board approved the bid of the Vivian Buick, Inc. The Board allowed the claims in the amount of �5345.00.
