The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City., Friday, June 20, 1952, at the hour of 8:00 A. M. (c. s. t, ) . Me. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth. The following business was had, to—wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Chief of Police, L. Rohe, reported that Joseph E. White has reported back for active duty on the Police Department after a leave of absence to attend AQ an Officer Training School conducted by the U.S. Army. 00 On recommendation of the City Engineer the Board of Public Works and Safety accepted the New Twentieth Century Bridge. • The Pierce and Gruber, Engineers submitted the following which was the cost of the brridge: Sec. The proofs were ordered received and filed. The Board meets to hear all present who desired to express themselves on 230 on Improvement Resolution No. 954-1952. A remonstrance was filed and said Improvement Resolution was .taken under advisement. The Board went on record as asking the Police Department to enforce Sect- ion 14 of Ordinance No. 1351-1948. The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution #9-1952: DECLARATORY RESOLUTION NO. 9-1952. Resolved; by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, in the State of Indiana, that it is desired and deemed necessary to vacate a portion of Randolph Street as was opened and established by Declaratory Resolution No. 126-1919 extending. from Northwest First Street to Richmond Avenue in the City of Richmond, County of Wayne, and State of Indiana, which street proposed to be vacated is more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the point of intersection of the south- erly line of Randolph Street, as now located east of Northwest First Street and the easterly line of the Twenty (20) Foot alley, extended, in Anna Madden' s Sub-Division, lying first east of Northwest First Street; thence northwardly along the easterly line of said alley, extended, Sixty (60) Fett, more or less, to the northwesterly line of said Randolph St. ; thence northeastwardly, by a curve to the left, having a radius of Three Hundred (300) Feet, along the northwesterly line of said Randolph Street One Hundred Seventy (170) Feet, more or less,. .to . the southerly line of a Thirty (30) Foot Depressed Roadway connecting Sheridan Street and Rich- mond Avenue; thence eastwardly, by a curve to the left having a radius of One Hundred Twenty-Five (125) Feet, along the southerly line of said Depressed Roadway, Seventy ( 70) Feet, more or less to the _southeasterly line of said Randolph Street; thence southwestwardly by a curve to the right having a radius of Three Hundred Fifty (350) Feet, along the south- easterly line of said Randolph Street, Two Hundred Seventy Five (276) Feet, more or less, to the place of beginning, said portion of Randolph Street, herein vacated having a uniform width of _Fifty (50) feet. All as shown by a plat of such proposed vacation now on_ file in the office of the Department of Public Works and Safety of said City. The property which may be injuriously or beneficially affected in the said City of Richmond by said proposed vacation is known and described as the street herein proposed to be vacated and the lots abutting on the northwesterly and southeasterly sides thereof, owned by the City of Richmond. Adopted this 20th day of June, 1952. The Board allowed the claims in the sum of 1321,077.'27.
