OFFICE OF THE BOARD OB PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY
DECEtBER 2S, 1951.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday,
December 2S, 1951, at the hour of 9:00 o'clock A.M. Mr Coleman presiding
with the following members being present; Mr Hodgin and Mr. Hawotth. The
following business was had, to-wit:

On motion made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting
were dispensed with.
On recommendation of the Fire Chief, the Board approved the reducement of
Robert Connerton from rank of Lt. to that of a regular fireman as od Jan-
uary 1,1952. Also the advancement of Henry Clark from the rank of a regular
fireman to that of a Lt . as of January 1,1952.
On recommendation of the Chief of Police the. Board approved the advancement
cif Lyell Rodgers and Robert Allen from probationary patrolmen to regular
patrolmen as of December 16th, 1951.
On recommendation of the Chief of Police, the Board approved the advancement
of Elwood Clark, Jr from a regular patrolman to that of Sgt as of January .
1,1952.
The Board authorized the Clerk to prepare the publication to receive sealed
bids for the furnishing and installing- a boiler for No.2 Hose House of
the Fire Department as plans and specifoations that were prepared by the .111
City Engineer and are now on file in the office of the Board. Bids will be
received January 2,6-th,1952, at 10:00 o'clock A M.
Mayor Meadows complimented the members'of the Board for their splendid
work done The past four years and hoped that everything would work as
. smooth the next four. years. • •

The Board allowed the claims in the sum of $1,649.87
There being no further business presented, on motion made, seconded and
carried the meeting adjourned.
