The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City Friday, December 21, 1951, at the hour of 9: 00 o' clock A.M. Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth. The following bus- iness was had, to-wit: CQ On motion made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous Are meeting were dispensed with. On request of the Fire Chief, the Board authorized the City En- gineer to prepare the specfications for a new boiler for No, 2. Hose House. On recommendation of the Fire Chief, the Board approved the ad- vancement of Roland Walls to the ranks of a regular fireman as of January 1, 1952, On recommendation of the Fire Chief, the Board approved the ad- vancement of Donald Tibbot to the ranks of a regular fireman as of January 1, 1952. A petition requesting the installation of a street light some- where on North loth Street, from North UH" to "J" Streets. This petition was ordered to be filed with the Common Council, serving • as a committee i charge of the operation of the M. E,L, & P.P. for their study and recommendations. The Board approved the request to cut the curb in front of 711 South 12th Street. The Board granted permission to the City Engineer to prepare specfications for all materials that will be used by the Street Department for the year 1952, When said specifications are pre- pared the advertising will be prepared to receive bids for the materials. The Board allowed the claims in the amount of $34, 158. 67.
