HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-14-1951 It V OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 14, 1951. 111 The Board of Public Works and Safety. of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the ' City Hall in said City, Friday, December 14, 1951, at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. The Street Commissioner reported that the 20 M.P.H. traffic signs were delivered and ready to be installed. Mr. Hodgin reported that the floor of the new bridge was being poured and it would be 30 days waiting period after the pouring is done before it can be ready for use. The Clerk presented the proofs of publications printed in the Richmond Pallidium, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the 20th and 27th days of Novemebr, 1951, that a public hearing would be held on this date at the hour of 10:00 o' clock A.M. on the assessement rolls of Improvement Resolutions Nos. 934-1950 and 940-1950. The proofs were received and ordered filed. The board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons primarily assessed on account of improvement of the alley between South 13th and South 14-th Streets, from South "E" Street to South "F" Street with concrete the full width as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 934-1950. After hearing all persons interested who appeared, the board approves final assessement roll, confirming, in all things, the orginal assessement roll as heretofore approved. Said assessement roll is further ordered transmitted forthwith to the Deaprtment of Finance. The board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons primarl * assessed on account of improvement of the alley between South 13th and South loth Street, from South "F" Street to South "G" Street with concrete the full width as provided for in Improvement Resolu- tion No. 94.011950. After hearing all persons interested wgo appeared the board- approves final assessement roll, confirming, in all things, the orginal assessement roll as heretofore approved. Said assessement roll is further ordered transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance. The Board allowed the claims in the .amount of 13, 107.58.
