II OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND
SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA, SEPT. 7, 1951.
The Board of Public Works . and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session in the office of the Board in the City Hall in
said City, Friday, September 7, 1951, at the hour of 8:g0 o' clock A.M.
(cst) . Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present:
Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Haworth. The following business was had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dippensed with.

' � On recommendation of Mayor Meadows, the Board went on record that a
traffic survey should be made to reroute the heavy traffic before the
new bridge at North D Street is completed.
On recommendation of Hodgin the Board approved the request of Sam Jaffe
to raise the •R.R. track near the Jaffe Company on North 10th Street.
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 5-1951.
BE IT RESOLV.ED .BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY
OF RICHMOND,,,,-It DrA1VA:
That it is desired and deemed necessary to vacate all that portion
II of South "F" Street located in Richard K. Lackey' s Sub-Division of
parts of Tracts Nos. 551 and 552 of the Official Map of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, and extending from South 22nd Street, to west
boundary of said Subs=division.
That portion of said Street to be vacated is bounded on the North
by Lots Nos. 22,23,24, and 25 on the South by Lots Nos. 18, 19, 20, and
21, all in said Sub-Division, and on the West by unplatted land.
YThat the property in said City, which may be injuriously or ben-
eficially affect by the proposed vacation is known and described as
such part of South 22nd Street proposed to be vacated and the real
estate abutting on the North, South and West sides thereof, all of
said real estate abutting said part of said Sirreet on the North and
South being owned by Fred H. Travers and Grace K. Travers, and that
abutting on the West being owbed by Robert H. Commons and Carton A.
Commons, Trustees.
Adopted this 7th day of September, 1951.
The Board ordered the Petition that requested this vacation to be filed
in the Office of the Board.
The Board authorized the purchase of enough street signs to be installed
from East 34th and Main Street, west to N.W. 5th and Main, south to
National Road,West and west to Easthaven Avenue. From South "Q" Street
north to North 5th and "A" Streets. (To be purchased from the Lyle Sign Co.
The Board allowed the calims in the amount of 4
There being no further business presented, on motion made, seconded and
carried the meeting adjourned.
