The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Ri chmond, Indiana met in regular session in its office in .the City Hall, Friday, March 23, 1951, at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. Mr. Coleman presiding with the following member being present: Mr. Ross. Mr Haworth being absent, the following business was had, to-wit: , On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the pre- vious meeting were dispensed with, The Board authorized the Clerk to white the following organizations * expressing the thanks of the Board for the fine cooperation that was given in the hunt for Miss June Jett, who was beleived to have .- • been drown in the Whitewater River: Police Department, Fire Depart- ment, Sheriffs Department, State Police, Conservation Club, Mid- Western Boat Club, Juerling° s Beverage, Light Plant, Street Depart- ment, Pallidium Corporation and the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Street Department reported that the water was being pumped out of the West. 7th Street Park and that it would be filled-in with the sweepings from the city streets. On recommendation of the City Engineer, the board approved the II following bids for materials for the Street Department. AMERICAN AGGREGATES: Concrete Sand @ $1. 10 per ton.
