The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City Friday, December .29, 1950, at the hour of 9:g0 olclock A.m. Mr. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Ross. Mr. Haworth was absent. The following proceedings were had, to-wit: On motion made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. The Board ordered traffic lights to be installed at the intersections of 10th and North A Street and llth and North A Street at the approx- imate cost of $2,500.00. -This also includes the necessary.rewiring for the traffic signals at North 9th & A Street. On recommendation .of the Fire Chief, Harold Personette was appointed as extra fireman as of aanuary 1, 1951. This move was made due to Keith Burdsall being called back into the U.S. Marines. On reOommendation of the Chief of Police the Board approved the appointment of Lawrence Harris, Jr. as probationary patrolman as of January 1, 1951. Mr. Robert Hudson, President of the Hudson Realty Company, replied by letter that removal of the walk-way near the building at 6th and • Main Street had been referred to Robert Juerling, contractor on said building. Whatever arrangements between the Board and Mr. Juer- ling will be satisfactory with Mr. Hudson. The Board allowed .the claims in the amount of $ 39, 693.56. There being no further business presented, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned. • Chairman Clerk
