The Board of PublicWorks and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session Friday, December 8, 1950 in its office in the City Hall in said. City at the hour of 9:00 o' clock A.M. Mr. Coleman presiding with the following member being present Mr. Haworth. The following Proceedings were had, to-wit: On motion made seconded and carried the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Mr. Beck, General Manager of the M.E.L. .& P.P. appeared before the Board requesting permission to install temporary Mercury Vapor street lighting along West Main Street, from West llth Street to West 13th Street according to plans presented. The Board unanimously approved the request. On recommendation of the Mayor, the. Board unanimously approved the appointment of Elmer Kremeier to fill the vacancy of Russell Hunt as Clerk at the Street Department. Mr. Hunt went back to the Natco. The Hoard approved the Clerk of preparing the advertising to received bids for an ambulance for the Police Department to replace the one that was wrecked recently. The Board adopted a resolution in regards to Frank Starr° s death. Mr. Starr having wthrked with the Board in connection with his capacity as Wayne County Commissioner. The Board approved the resignation of Officer Donald Moelk from the Police Department as of December 2, 1950. The Board allowed the claims in the amount of $26075. 17.
