The Board of 'public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session in its office in the City Hall, Friday, Nov- ember 3, 1950, at the hour of 9: 00 o' clock A.M. Mr. Coleman presid- ing with the following member being present; Mr. Ross. The following proceedings were had, to-wit: On motion made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. • L� This being the date for receiving bids as provided for in Improve- ment Resolution No.. 940-1950, for the construction of e, concrete alley between S outh 13th and South loth S treets, from South "F" to South "G" Streets. The following bid was received and opened: Daugherty-Rowe Const. Co. , Lawrenceburg, Indiana $3, 277.50 The City Engineers estimate ,fi3, 277.50 Upon the. City Engineer' s. -recommendation the- board now awards the bid to Daugherty-Rowe Const, Co. This being the date for receiving bids as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 934-1949, for the construction of a "Sanitary Sewer" in the Maxwell Addition. The following bids were received and opened: DeLucio & Sons .',$,9, 018.00 DeBolt. Concrete Co $8,176. 00 Upon recommendation of the City Engineer, the board took under ad- visement for futher study the above bids. On recommendation of the Chief of Police the Board approved the advancement of Robert Smith. and_ Elwood Clark, Jr. , from the rank of probationary patrolman to that of regular patrolmen, as of November 1, 1950. Mr. Ross reported that work had started on the Ravina. Storm Sewer. The Clerk was authorized to contact contractors in the City, asIing for estimates to repair the roof on the City Hall. The Board allowed the claims in the amount of 4 37,1+431.29 There being no further business to be brought to the attention• of the Board , on motion made, seconded and carried the meeting adjourn- ed.
