OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY,
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 1950.
The Board of. Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session in its office in the City Hall, Friday, October
27, 1950, at the hour of 9: 00 o' clock A.M. Mr. Coleman presiding with
the following members being present: Mr. Ross and Mr. Haworth. The
following proceedings were had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous
meeting were dispended with.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected by the following described improvement resolution:
4 I.R. #94.1-1950, for the improvement of of Gardner Street, from Harris
�.� Street west to alley along the Pennsylvania Railroad right-of-way, by
construction of concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks.
After hearing all persons interested who:-:appeared; -ana being fully
advised in the premises, the board decides that the benifits to
property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to
the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engin-
eer, and thereupon taked final action on said Resolution, the same
being confirmed without modification.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested or whose property is

I.R. #94.2-1950, for the improvement of Reller Street, from Harris
Street west to alley along the Pennsylvania Railroad right-of-way,
by construction of concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks.
After hearing all persons interested who appeared, and being fully
advised in the premises, the board decides that the benifits to
property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to
the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil
Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said Resolution, the
same being confirmed without modification.
The Board approved the request of the Disabled Veterans to park a
display truck at 7th and Main Streets, October 27th and 28th.
The Board approved the change of curb locations at South 5th & G
Street on north and south slides of South G Streets for traffic
signal installation.
The Clerk was authorized to. notify Mr. Trimble and Mr Kirk that is
neceesary that their buildings on Fort Wayne Avenue be torn down
immediately for the straightening of North D Street.
The folowing curb cuts were approved 136 Soo 18th St. , 1018 So.
E Street and Southwest corner of North 7th and A Streets.
A petition signed by 121 residents in the area of East 13th and Main
Streets requesting the installation of a traffic light at the inter-
section of East 13th and Main Street wag received. The Clerk was
authorized to notify the State Highway Commission of this petition.

The Board allowed the claims in the amount of 1$7, 190.36®
There being no further business presented, on motion made, seconded
and carried, the meeting adjourned.
