THE TYBEE ISLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT
AND
UNITED STATES COAST GUARD STATION TYBEE
SUBJECT: Responding to armory intrusion alarm for Coast Guard Station Tybee
1. In the event of an unauthorized armory intrusion, the Tybee Island Police will respond
within 15 minutes to the U.S. Coast Guard Station Tybee located at 01 Cockspur Island,
Hwy 80 East/Fort Pulaski Entrance, Tybee Island, GA 31328.
2. A site plan has been provided to the PD listing the location of the armory containing
small arms and of the magazines which contain small arms ammunition and pyrotechnics.
The H/Cs for the magazines are 1.4C, 1.4G and 1.4S. Each magazine has been properly
identified as to the contents.
3. The PD will inspect the area and assess the situation to determine the best plan of
action. In addition, the PD will be invited annually to verify any change in status.
4. The Coast Guard will provide any additional personnel that may be needed to support
this agreement.
5. The Tybee Police Department and the Coast Guard Station Tybee Officer in Charge or
their representatives may make temporary changes to this agreement during emergency
operations by mutual agreement, if necessary.
