AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THE WELFARE
DEPARTMENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES
BE, IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Cartemt (the
"Borough") that the internal designation of the department currently referred to as the
"Welfare Department" shall henceforth be amended to "The Department of Social
Services."
BE, IT FURTHER ORDAINED that all functions and operations of the above
described department shall remain the same in all aspects.
BE, IT FURTHER ORDAINED that Sections 4-29B and 4-29D which establish and
describe the duties of the Director of Welfare shall amended to the "Director of Social
Services".
BE, IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the duties and responsibilities of the Director of
Social Services shall be identical in all respects to those currently being lY~formed by
the Director of Welfare.
BE, IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
