AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 33.085 THROUGH 33.089 OF THE
HOPKINSVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO THE
BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City of Hopkinsville established the Beautification Commission to assist with
beautification efforts and programs within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has since created a full-time Beautification Coordinator position that works with
the Public Works Department to assist with beautification efforts and programs within the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINSVILLE,
KENTUCKY, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE
That Sections 33.085 through 33.089, Beautification Commission, of the Hopkinsville Code of
Ordinances adopted by Ordinance 01-2008, including any subsequent amendments, is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
SECTION TWO
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance is held unconstitutional or
otherwise invalid, such infirmity shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTION THREE
Any and all ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR
This ordinance shall take effect after its passage and publication according to law.
