AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19 (MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON , MISSOURI , PERTAINING TO
PEDESTRIANS ON SIDEWALKS .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON , MISSOURI , AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1 .Chapter 19 (Motor Vehi cles and Traffic) Section 1 (Definit ions) is
amended as follows :
Pedestrian . Any person afoot o r p e r so n util iz in g a whee lch a ir o r p ower w h eelch a ir.
Section _g . Chapter 19 (Motor Vehicles and T raffic) Sec. 19-316 (Operation and
riding of certain unlicensed motor vehicles) is amended as follows :
Sec. 19-3 16 . Operation and rid in g of certain unli censed motor ve hi cles .

w hee ls on the s idewa lks, streets a nd roadways in the city. This o r d ina n ce s ha ll no t be co n s true d to
prohibit the use of wheelc h a irs or powe r wheelch a irs on th e sidewalks .

Section 3 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
