Minutes of Regular meeting of December 5,1960 were read. Motion by R. Roehl, second by Art Gertz to Accept minutes as read. Motion carried. Minutes of Special meeting of December 12,1960 were read. Motion by Herb Arens, second by Harold Winterhalter to accept minutes as read. Motion carried. Minutes of special meeting of December 22,1960 were read. Motion by Arthur Gertz to accept minutes as read. second by Herb Arens. Motion carried. Minutes of Planning commission axidaz meeting of December 19,1960 were read. A discussion of the proposed Tax Committee was held- no action taken. Motion by Herb Arens to appoint Arther Gertz acting mayor second by R Roehl, Motion carried. Motion by Art Gertz to appoint Farmers State Bank of Hamel as depository for village funds, Doctor Wallace Anderson, Medical Officer, Minnetonka Herald, uff icial Newspaper and Essene and Bonhiver, village Auditors. Second by Harold Winterhalter, IYlotion carried. Motion by Art Gertz to table appointment of Building Inspector and Police Chief until another meeting, second by Herb Arens, Motion carried. Motion by Herb Arens to appoint Carter, Krueger and Associates as Village Engineers, second by Harold Winterhalter, Motion carried. Motion by Harold Winterhalter to postpone appointmentof A village attorney until next regular meeting of the council, second by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried. Harold Winterhalter volunteered to investigate village attorney. Motion by Harold Winaterhalter to appoint George Hedlund Village Attorney until next regular council meeting, second by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried. Discussion followed on procedure to be used in calling on the Village attorney, the feeling of the council was that all members should be consulted before Attorney is requedted 9macx to attend meetings. William Curry, Sales Representative from Northern States Power Company was present at the request of William Rudolph - suggestion by the treasurer that the Electric bills by paid on an annual basis. Mr, Curry will write the clerk on details of this arraingment. Mayor Scott suggested the following members to serve on the West fennepin Joint Planning commission, Herbert Gaspar, Harold Winterhalter hand Anne Theis. Motion by Arthur Gertz to accept these members, second by Herb Arens, Motion Carried. Motion by Arthur Gertz to leave all salarys and wages as they a were in 1960 until further oppurtonity arises to discus further. Second by Harold Winterhalter,Motion carried. Motion by Arthur Gertz to table appointment of Road men for further study, second by Herb Arens, Motion carried. Motion by Arthur Gertz to table appointment of Civil Defense Director until next meeting, second by Herb Arens, Motion carried. On Sale Ligour liscense application of Joseph A Raskob of Ledina Recreations Inc was presented to council for consideration; Lotion by Harold Winterhalter; that the Council Grant Joseph A Raskob of Medina Recreations, Inc an On Sale liqour license with the following stipulation; The license to be 'issued to them immediately on receipt by the council of a certificate from the State liqour control Commissioner that the necessary permanent alteration have been made to comply with the State Law governing on sale licenses in bowling alleys and dance halls, second by Arthur Gertz, Motion carried. Letter from Lambert and May Berry was read to council in regard Felix Kubic building toonear their property line. Alfred Lerz, Bldg Inspector was called and he stated that there is a dispute in regard the property lines. If Berrys survey is correct the Kubic house will be to close to the line. The building inspector suggested he should write Kubic a letter to this effect. notion by A"thur Gertz to 164 instruct the building inspector to send Felix Kubic and Stella Mitchell a letter by registered mail pointing out the consequences of village council action if District Court desi.fion goes against him in regard the property line and that he can not build his garage on the north side of his house under any conditions. second by Harold Winterhalter, Motion carried. Motion by R. Roehl to &pay fee for the 3 new council members to University of Minnesota School- second by Harold Winter - halter, Motion carried. Notion by Harold Winterhalter to pay custodian of Village Hall 100.00 per ye*t, . second by Herb Arens. motion carried. Motion by Herb Arens to appoint Charles Scherer custodian of the Village Hall, Seoond by Harold Winterhalter, Notion Car Efied. Motion by Harold Winterhalter to order 10 copies of complete Village Code from the engineer, second by R Roehl, Motion carried. Recieued resolution from Water Resources Study Commission, This was set aside for futther study. Motion by Arthur Gertz to pay bills that are due and approved. second by Harold Winterhalter, Motion carried. Payroll Checks issued 461.75 Order checks issued 2047.12 The following committess we4e appointed by i•iayor Scott.
