Home My Public Portal Aboutr 17-076�esoftttion of toe 3 oroug4 of (farteret, No. 17 -76 Date of Adoption May 18, 201 AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH T &M ASSOCIATES — NOE'S CREEK TIDE CHAMBER CONCEPT PLAN DEVELOPMENT AND LOAN APPLICATION PREPARATION WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services in connection with the Noe's Creek Tide Chamber Concept Plan Development and Loan Application Preparation; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineers, T &M Associates, possess the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and EREAS, T &M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering services at a cost not to exceed $5,000.00; and the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: 1. That the proposal from T &M Associates for engineering services related to the Noe's Creek Tide Chamber Concept Plan Development and Loan Application, in a total amount of $5,000.00 billable in accordance with T &M's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved; 2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal; That this action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law. Deliverable will include a preliminary project cost estimate. Task 3: Loan _ Application Pre aration Our office will prepare the loan application on behalf of the Borough and submit to the NJDEP by the application deadline of May 31, 2017. The application requires a Borough resolution in support of the application which we will prepare and provide for governing body action. Summary of Fees and Schedule The fees for the scope of services listed herein are summarized below. We propose to provide the above outlined services for an estimated cost not to exceed $9,500 to be billed monthly in accordance with our current contract rate schedule.
