The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, I/ met in a Special Meeting tinit__office in the City Hall in said City, Saturday, June 3, 1950, at the hour of 8:30 o' clock_ A.M. (CST) . Mr H.G. Coleman. presiding with the following members being present: Mr. Wm. Edwin Ross and Mr, C.M. Haworth, The following proceedings were had, to-wit: Ohmotion duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. The Board approved the Clerk of notifying the Indiana Railroad that Richmond Avenue, from Sheridan Street to Northwest 1st Street would be closed to traffic during the construction of- the Twentieth Century Bridge and Gaade Separation Project. They are to be notified that work will start immediately and they should prepare to re-route the bus service that would be affected. . The Board approved a temporary permit for said bus company to use streets in said area for the bus re-routing. The Board approved the Clerk to notify the Gas Corporation, Water Works, Telephone Company, Municipal Electric Lighting and Power, that official 'notification had been given the Contractor of the TtaentYeth Century Bridge, North D Street Grade Separation and Street Improvements, to proceed with construction of said projects immediately. It is the understanding of the Board that the Contractor will move in some time during the week of June 5th, and start work on the west end of the new bridge. If the metioned Utilities have any equipment that might be affected, they should make plans to remove the same immediately. On motion made by Mr. Haworth, seconded by Mr. Ross and carried unan- imously, the Board approved the following purcahses for the Sheridan Street and Richmond Avenue grade re-location at the west end of the proposed Twentieth Century Bridge, of the properties belonging to Jesse Streator for $8,500.00; Paul and Ralph Krick 4, 397.00: James and Anna McNeill $1, 000.00; Pure Oil Cpmpany 1,000.00; Standard Oil Company $10 000.00; Glen and Pauline G. Hall 800;00; Lilas and Herbert H. Terrell $500.00; and for the straightening of the intersection of North D Street and Fort Wane Avenue; Ott and Hermia Trimble, Jos- eph C. and Margerite Trimble $8,500.00; Ott and Hermina Trimble $11,250.00. CharlesG. and Dolores Mosey $13, 000.00; Albert H. and Viola Kirk $12,500.00.
