AND SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIAdA, FRIDAY
APRIL 7, 1950
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session in its office in the City Hall, Friday, April $, 1950, at 9:00
oeclock a.m. Mr. E.G. Coleman presiding with the following members heing present:
Mr. Wm. Edwin Ross and Mr. Clifford M. Haworth. The following proceedings were
had, to-wit:
On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the minutes of the
previous meeting were dispensed with.
Mr. Weldon Pierce, personell man of Swayne Robinson Foundry, appeared before
the board requesting permission for said foundry to place "no parking" signs
from Main Street to first alley north on North Third Street. This was re-
ferrdd to th Police Department to investigate and report.
On recommendation of the City Civil Engineer, the Board approved the of the
Coxes Grocery Store at the intersection of West Fifth and Peacock Road to
remove trees amd replace present curb with a "factory type curb".
The Board went on record as recommending that all trees that are removed from
between the curb and sidewalk be removed stumps and all.
The dangerous condition at the intersection of .North 15th and F Streets was
referred to the Police Department. The Street Department to investigate and
see if the signs are still intact that are supposed to be there.
The Board approved the Clerk of preparing the resolution to be presented to
Common Council for the appointment of appraisers to appraise two city cars
that are to be sold.
The Board allowed claims in the amount of $5,744.56.
There being no further business presentd, om motion duly made, seconded and
carried, the meeting ddjourned.
