Safety- of the City of.Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office.in the City Hall.in said. City, Friday, March 3, 1950, at 9:00 a.m. Mr. H.G. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. _W.E. Ross and Mr. C.M. Haworth. The following proceedings were had, to-wit: . On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the minutes of the pre- vious meeting were dispensed with. On recommendation of the Police; Department, the Board approved the propsalsof the Willoughby Chevrolet Coma 'to furnish one 1 1 0 Chevrolet for the p �.v. ( � 95 Police Department of Richmond as per price quoted February 24, 1950. Aletter was received from the City Court Judge, requesting that this Board consider the sum of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00) for the City Court to opertae the Special Judge appropriations for the rernainded of the year 1950. This letter was ordered filed and referred to the City Controller for study and recommendation. . The Board authorized the Clerk to order from the Bobb-Merrill Publishing Comp- any a book entitled "Thorntons Cities and Towns, for the Engineering Dept. The Clerk was authorized to purchase a new minute book for the Board of Public Works and Safety. A proposal of the Bilgriit=.Frauman,-_Insi r-ance Company to insure the parking meters of the City at the price of-$1.00 per meter for fir?, extended coverage, collis- ion and flood hazards, subject to .a $10.00 franchise clause, was tabled. The Clerk presented the proofs of publication for the receiving of sealed pro- posals for one (1) truck for the Street Department. On motion duly made, second- ed and carried unanimously, the proofs of publications were ordered filed. Pursuant to advertisement in the Richmond .Pallidium, newspaper, the Board met at the hour of 10:00_a.m. , -to receivecand open sealed proposals for one (1) truck for the Street Dept. The following proposals were received and opened: WICKETT MOTOR SERVICE: One (1) Ton Reo Truck D-19xA-1949, Single wheels, 700x20-3p1y tires, 125" W.B. , equipped with National hydraulic twin hoist & pick-up bed, all metal, (I wheel & tire. Truck has 4 speeds .trans. Hoist does not require power take-off, Capacity 5 tons $2,132.S4 Alternate: Same as above except with Heil Hoist, 611 Cyl, twin Arm $2,248.74 Delvery on #1- 10 days Delivery on alternate- 6 days. 445 aoi`I'io KENNETH E. Same to be mounted on the above chassis. Total unit is 33" from ground to floor $1,920.00 On recommedation of Mr. Ross the Board unanimously approved the proposal of the Kenneth E. Williams, Inc. The Board allowed c aims in the amount of $3,790.96. There being no futther business presented, on motion duly made, sec.nded and carried unanimoully, the meeting adjourned. a 9.
