HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-27-1949 - Special Session 416 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 27, 1949. The Board of `public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Tuesday, December 27, 1949, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Mr. H.G. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. William Edwin Ross, Mr. Clifford M. Haworth. The following business was had, to-wit: On motion duly made seconded and carried unanimoulsy the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. The following Declaratory Resolution was presented and dead in full: DECLARATORY RESOLUTION NO. 8, 1949. RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, that it is desired and deemed necessary to improve North "D" Street and North jrd Street in the City of Richmond, in Wayne County, of the State of Indiana, as follows to-wit: By the realignment of North "D" Street from the west end of the Twentieth Century Bridge, proposed for the replacement of present Doran Bridge over Whitewater River, to a line about Fifty-Five (55.00) feet west of and parallel to the west line of North 5th Street; By the separation of grades of North "D" and north jrd Streets and also t ae vsep- aration of grades of North "D" Street and the tracks of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway which are now located in North 3rd Street by elevating North "D" Street and depressing North jrd Street; By the construction of an extension of a portion of North 3rd Street,north of North "D" Street to connect with North 4th Street; All as shown on plans for Section III (Station 26 plus 08.7 to Station 31 plus 00.52) of plans and specifications for the Twenieth Century Brideg and Grade Sep- arations dated July 15, 19)9, now on file in the office of the City Civil Engineer of the City of Richmond, Indiana. And it is proposed to codemn and appropriate sufficient lots and lands for the above-described improvements. The property which may be injuriously or benificially affected by the above described improvements is known and described as follows, to_v. wit: Lots Numbers 16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,2),)1,)42,)3, ,)5,)46,)7,48,)9,50,51,53,5), 56,57,58,59,60 all in Jesse Iden's Second Addition to the City of Richmond, Ihdian a; also Lots Numbers 17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,30 in Samuel Gaar's Addition to the City of Richmond, Indiana; also, Lots Numbers 4,5,12,13,20,21,25 in Sol- omon Sturges Addition to the City of Richmond, Indiana. DATED THIS 27th day of December, 1949. The Board of Public Works and Safety of said Lity has fixed Friday, January 13th, 1949, at 10:00 O'clock A.M. as the date and time which remonstrances may be filed or presented by persons interested in or affected by said proposed Declartory Resolution No. 8, 1949, as above described, and on the said date at 10:00 o'clock A.M., said 41; Board will meetin its office in the City Building in said ity for the p rpose of hear- ing and consdering any remonstrances which may have been filed or presented, and for the purpose of taking final action thereon. Such action shall be final and conclusive upon all persons. Mr. Haworth moved that the Board adopted the above Declaratory Resolution No. g, 1949 as read, seconded by Mr. Ross and on voice vote the motion was unanimously carried and so ordered. There being no futher business, on motion duly made, seconded and carried unani- mously, the meeting adjourned. Attest: Chairmen erk of the oard.
