OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC FORKS AND SAFETY,
RI0 4OND, INDIANA, FRIDAY, aECEMBER 2, 1949.
The Board of Public Works and Safety. of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session in its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday, December
2, 1949, at 9:00 oeclock A.M. Mr. H.G. Coleman presiding with the following
members being present: Mr. W.E. Ross and Mr. C.M. Haworths, The following
proceedings were had, to-wit:
. On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the minutes of the
previous meeting were dispensed with.
The Board unanimously approved the continuing the hearing on Declaratory -Res-
olution #3-1949 until Friday, Decmber 9, 19)+9•
Mr. E.E. Linburg, Richmond Gas Copporation, appeared before the Board and dis
cussed the relocation of pipe lines from North D Street to. the first alley
south of and parallel with North D Street. It was found necessary by the
Board- that an alley that had been vacated by Declaratory Resolution nl58-1922
would have to be reopened to do this work. This vacated alley is in the Davis
Park on North Third Street. The Board approved the .Clerk of contacting the
Park Board for their approval to re-open said alley-. •
Street Commissioners W. Burilson, reported that heavy trucks are still using
the covered bridge in "Happy Hollow" that had been previoulsy closed to such
traffic due to being unsafe.
The Board issued orders to Mercuros to remove their television anrial. from
the Poliee Radio Tower on the City Building.
The rental of the Market House for. the year 1950 was discussed, but no action
was taken until further investiagtion had been by the Mayor.
The Board allowed claims in the sum of $ oR 67..25
There being no further business to be brought to the attention of the Board,
. on motion duly made., seconded and carried unanimously, the meeting adjourned.
