HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-18-1949 407 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND -SAFETY, RICHMOND, INDIANA,- NOVEMBER 18,1949. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in- its office in the City Hall in said City, Friday, November 18, 1949; at the hour of 9:00 o'clock A.M. Mr. H.G. Coleman pre- siding with the following members being present: Mr. W.E. Ross and MR. Clifford M. Haworth.. The following. proceedings were had,- to-wit: On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Mr. Mosey, owner and operator of the Hobby Shop, between 4th and 5th St on Main St., appeared before the Board requesting permission to install a loud ppeaker in the window at said address.' The Board did not grant per- mission to Mr. Mosey, -to install said speaker. The Board approved the following curb cuts: 807 S. 5th and 504 S. 16th St Permission was given to cut the following trees: Tlg S. llth; 314 S. 15t4 S.E. corner of N. 19th & A St; 714 S 16th St and 427 S. gth St. Permission . was given to trim the following trees: 423 S. 8th St.; 511 S. 12th 6t; 302 N. llth St. and 714 S. 16th Streets. The Board authorized the Clerk to prepare a resolution for Council to ap- prove the Wayne Circuit Court Judge to appoint 3 disinterested freehold ers to appraise the cars of the Weights and Measures Inspector and the Building Inspector. The Clerk was also authorizee to prepare the proper advertising to receive bids for new cars for said Inspectors. The sealed . proposals to be received Friday, December 23,• 1949, at 10:00 A.M. Permission was granted by the Board to remove the "Parking Meter" on the S.E. corner of -East 5th & Main Street. The Clerk to notify the State of this action. Piirsuant tottadvertisement in the Richmond Pallidium, a newspaper, the Board met at the hour of 10:00 A.M. to receive and open sealed proposals for construction of a 'sanitary sewer" as provided for in Improvement • Resolution. i93)-1949. No- bids- were received., The Board authorized the Clerk to prepare the proper advertisement to receive sealed proposals for the construction of the "sanitary sewer" as provkdee for in Improvement Resolution #934-1949, Friday, December 9, • 1949, at 10:00.A.M. . - On motion made, seconded and carried unanimoulsy, the Board continued the hearing, on Declaratory Resolution +3-1949, to the regular meeting of Friday, .December.2, 1949.
