Mayor Clerk
The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on November
2, 1970, with Mayor Ross presiding and Councilmen Van Deest, Hippen,
Eckhoff, and Claassen present.
Minutes of the October meeting were approved on a motion by
Eckhoff, seconded by Hippen. Carried.
The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion by
Claassen, seconded by Eckhoff. Carried.
On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Claassen, the following
bills were allowed for payment:

It was moved by Claassen, seconded by Van Deest to sell a
1953 International truck to Herman Hippen for �50. Carried.

The council approved the mayor's recommendation to appoint
Lawrence Bausman to serve on the County Crime Commission for
the year 1971.
A discussion concerning dumping of refuge in the former town
dump led to an agreement to levy a fine of �180. against any
individual using the property illegally.

ber 7, 1970, with Mayor Ross presiding and all councilmen pre-
sent .
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a
motion by Eckhoff, seconded by Claassen. Carried.

On a motion b� Hippen, seconded by Claassen, the clerk was
directed to order a new Sumo deep -well pump and extra parts
from Flyg�r Corp., Deepwell Division of Merrill B. Townsend Co.
of Des Moines, Idwa, which was the lowest bidder of three bids
submitted to the council. Carried.
On a motion by Claassen, seconded by V'an Deest, the street
budget for 1971 was approved as presented and a copy of the
same was to be forwarded to the Iowa State Highway Commission.
Carried.
