The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in its office in the City Building in said. City, Friday August 19, 1919, at S:00 O'clock-AM. (Central Standard Time). Mr. H.G. Coleman presiding with the following meber being present: Mr. Clifford M.- Haworth. The following proceedings were had, to-wit: On motion duly made, the minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Mr. R. Barth, representing the air. C.C. , appeared before the Board-in be- half of the Jr. C.C., tegtasting permission to put an wrecked automobile at - the intersection of West 1st street and Whitewater Blvd. This display to be in connection with the sfaety program that said club is sponsoring for the conning year. This was refrred to the Police Dept. to investigatecand re- pprt back to the Board their recommendations. The Board authorized the Street Commissioner to work with the Fire Chief in the replacement and repairing of the sidewalks in front of #1 Hose House and #3 Hose House. On recommendation-of the Chief of Police, the Board approved. the 5 minutes parking on the North side of N. C St. from No. 10th to first alley. The Board approved the curb cut at 1211 Sheridan St. as regested by Mr. Den- nis Lear for a private driveway. On recommendation of the Park Comm., the Board approved the removal of a tree near 2201 North E Street. The Board approved the Clerk of writing to Mr. Decker, owner of the Dog Hos- pital on Northwest 5th Street, asking him to appear before the Board in tem gards to the drainage from said hospital. On recommendation of Mr. Haworth, the Board approved. the Street Comm. of preparing the necessary information needed in reagards to the amount of help and equipment needed in the program of repairing the sidewalks, curbs and streets. This plan to go into immediate effect upon the authorization • of the Board. The Board authorized the Chief of Police of sending two men to the State Police Drun-O-Meter School at Indianapolis during the week of August 22nd.
