AUTHORIZING AND AWARDING BID FOR FENCE, RAILING & BENCH
IMPROVEMENTS AT CHROME PARK SPRAY PARK
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Fence. Railing &
Bench Improvements at Chronic Park Spray Park; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received three (3) bid proposals for the Fence,
Railing & Bench Improvements at Chronic Park Spray Park as follows:
Total Amount
1. Abhzeen Design. Toms River, NJ $ 37,800.00
2. Precise Construction. Freehold. NJ $ 39,900.00
3. V &K Construction, Edison, NJ $ 48.740.00
WHEREAS, Abhzeen Design, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to Abhzeen, in a total amount not to exceed $37,800.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into
a contract with Abhzeen Design, 2152 Whitesville Rd., Toms River, NJ
for the sum of $37.800.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for
proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, T &M Associates and Borough Director of
Engineering.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval
from the New Jersey Department of Labor and the Division of Wage and
Hour Compliance.
Adopted this 8"' day of June, 2017
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 9, 2017.

The lowest quote received for the project is from Abhzeen Design, Inc., 2152 Whitesville Road,
Toms River, NJ 08755 who provided a quote amount of $37,800.00.
We have reviewed the quote documents provided and all required forms and document have been
provided by Abhzeen Design, Inc.
Based on their low bid, we recommend the Borough award a contract to Abhzeen Design, Inc. in the
amount of $37,800.00.
Award should be contingent upon certification of funds by the Chief Financial Officer and review of
the bid documents by the Borough Attorney.
