The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,Indiana,- met in aegular session in its office in the Ciky Building in said City,Friday IIMarch 11,1949 at 9:00 o'clock B.M. Mr. Harold G. Coleman preseiding with the following member bein presnt$ Mr. W.E. Ross. The following business was had,to-wit; The minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. Councilman Eastman appeared before the Board and requested that the Board consider the installation of street light on N.W. "D° Street from 9th to llth Street. This area would take only two lights. A light was also re- quested at the intersection of West 9th and Peacock. . Mr. Eastman also re- quested that consideration should be given to the residence living on 15th, 16th and 17th South of National Rpad for street lights. 'The Board authorized the Clerk to notify the light plant committee for their recommendations on the above installation of street lights. - Park Supt.,Lee Ridgeway reportej that he had investigated the dead tree in front of 1029 North "I" Street and recommended that said tree be removed. The Board approved the recommendation of Mr. Ridgeway and the Clerk to not- ify the owner of said property. - The Board approved the clerk of notifigg Councilman Law, that the enforce- ment of the Parking Meters were in full force and' effect. The Bard to re- ceive any recommendations that his committee might suggest on he wins locat- ions of the restricted parking should be or abolished for the'installation of parking meters. The Board approved the Clerk to prepare bids for the Street Material to be used this year. ' Mr. Ross"reported that the use of the area of South 8th and "P" Street for a dump had been stopped by the Street Department.
