CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY, JANUARY 7,1949..
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
regular session in its office in the City Building of said City, Friday, Jan-
uary 7th, 1949 at 9:00 A.M. Mr. H.G.Coleman presiding with the following
members being present: Messrs. W.E. Ross and C.M. Haworth.-The.following
proceedings were had, to-wit:
The minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with.
Councilman Marino's request of a traffic signal at the intersection of North
6th and "A" Street was taken under advisement.
Councilman Russell request of the City repairing the sidewalks and curbs in
city was brought to the attention of the Board. Mr. Ross stated that this
repair work was in the future plans of the Board as soon as weather permits
the work to be done.

9th Street between South "A" & "B" Streets requesting said area to be re-
stricted to two hour parking from 7:00 A.M. to 6 P.M. on week days. The
Board instructed the Clerk to contact Mr. Roemer and ask him to get more
names on said petition as the number of signers on petition received didnot
show the majority of the residence living in said area.
There being no futher business to be brought to the attention of the Board,
Mr. Ross moved to adjourn, sedonded by Mr. Haworth and carried unanimously.
