HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-17-1948 313 OFFIUE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17, 1948. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session in the office of the Board in said City, Friday December 17, 1948 at 9:00 A.M. Mr. H.G. Coleman presiding with the following members being present: Mr. E.W. Ross and C.M. Haworth. .The following proceedings were had, to- wit:II/ .. . . The minutes of the previous meeting were dispensed with. The Board unanimously approved that the heads of the Sewage treatment Plant and the Garbage and Sewers, have a complete inventory report in by the 1st of January, 1949. Permission to cut the curb at 22 N.W. 10th Street, as requested by Mr. William Bond, was granted. The Board approved the Fire Chief to notify the American Legion Band to vacate the 2nd floor of #3 Hose House by January 1st, 1945. The Fire Dept. will hold fizefighting classes during the year on dates to be announced later, Mr. Ross moved that .the Board go on record of prohibiting the blocking off the public highways and streets for sledding. Upon a second to this motion by Mr. Haworth the Board unanimously approved the motion and was so ordered. The Board allowed claims in the amount of $6,413.66.
