OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1948.
The Board of Public Works and Safety offthe City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of the Board in the City Building in said
City, Friday, November 26, 1948, at 9:00 A.M. Mr. Harold G. Uoleman presid
,'ding with the following members being present: Messrs. W.E. Ross and C.M.
:: Harbrth. The following proceedings were had, to-wit:
The minutes of the previous meeting were despensed with.
The condition of the sidewalks near the West Seventh Street Park and in
front of 1223 Ridge Street was brought to the'attention of the Board. The
Board ordered the Street Dept. to repair these sidewalks immediatly.

A petition signed by 15 business concerns on Main Street from Fourth to
Fifth Street requesting the installation of Parking Meters on both sides
of Main Street between said Streets. The Board advised the Clerk to hold
this petition until a later date for action. It is expected that more such
petitions will be received for installation of meters in other localities
in the City.
The Board approved the curli cut in front Moto Mower Company, South "U" and
C & 0 R.R.
The Board allowed claims in the sum of 818,458.20.
There being no further business to be brought to the attention of the Board
Mr. Haworth moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Ross and carried unanimoslg
by the Board.
