Indiana Railroad, appeared before the Board and submitted the following letter; Board of Public Works and Safety Richmond,India#a Gentlemen: At the request of certain individuals we have been asked to consider ex- panding our service in certain sections of the city. We have studied these proposals, and feel that the extension shown on the map woulb a step,at least in trying to improve the service in Richmond. This is rather expensive change, and we cannot say at this time, whether it will be profitable operation, for the reason any changes made will help some patrons, while others would rather the schedule had remained as it was. In connection,we are respectfully asking the Board to grant us a sixety daye temporary permit to make the following changes and extensions to our present routing. If after sixety days operation,we find the patronage does not justify the bexpense of such operation,we would like to resume the right to revert back to our orginal schedule and routing. If the erprOpo$gld'ngW aghedtl3e,_w -}3l at least pay operating expenses at the end of sixety days,we shall ask permission of the Public Service Commision of Indiana to operate over these routes,as a permanent basis. New Territory served by the proposal are as follows: (a) N.W. 7th Street, from Main to Peacock Road.Vlest on Peacock Road to Easthaven Avenue. (b) Nothth Twelfth Street, from North "J° Street to Main. (b) Peacock from 6th to gth Street, will be curtailed. However,pat- rons in these two blocks will have an opportunity for fifteen minute service, instead of the thirty minute service at either 7th and Peacock,or West fith and Paecock.
