Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board, Friday, November 14, 1947, at 9 a. at. Messrs . E :rl Ke,sker, S . Hodgin, and ';,infield Urban being present the following proceedings : The minutes of the preceding m'eetin were read and apiproved. Upon the request of Frank Chambers , 1Mir . Hodgin moved and Mr . Keisker seconded that the Clerk of the hoard be instructed to notify the light Plant to install a street light on North 28th Street in the vicinity of the power line. it ties-:.s so ordered. Upon the recommendation of Fire Chief :i.11iams , r . Nolaker moved that the resignation of Walter L. Muye of the Richmond Fire Department be accepted to take effect November 13 . I.-r . Hodgin seconded it and it was so ordered. The Board instructed the City Attorney to contact John Lauer, head of the State highway Cor;miission and bring pressupe to install a stop and go sign someplace between Last ,-aln and 23rd Street and East Main and 16th Street . Also at 3rd and National Road West. Councilman John Russell complained of water standing on Oak- land Avenue . •Phis matter was referred to the Board as a whole . Mr. Russell also requested a street light on Hunt Street between T . c K and L and at 4th and SouthSouth - . Thiswas referred to the Traffic Division and the City, Engineer . At 9:30 the tine set as per '_idvertisernent to receive , bids for ) G' J rental of the market house for the month of Dece fiber, the three bids received ::ere opened. The bids being as follows The Y' s Ben' s Club 1 :5 .55 Mike Derago 150 .00 C g Mercurio a: Sons 157 .50. I/ fir. tiod„in moved and Ur. K.e_s rer seconded that C . r. ercurio and Sons ! bid be accepted. It was so 'ordered . A petition was received from Chas W. Dew requesting eerm_ission to cut the curb ���t 1013 Ride Street .
