HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-24-1947 2©3 • • OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA • FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1947. • The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, 11/ Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board, Friday, October 24, 1947, at 9 a . m. Messrs . Earl Keisker, S . W. Hodgin and Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had ' to wit : The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Mr. Ed. Nusbaum appeared before the Board requesting information concerning bids for selling of Xmas trees at the Market House during the holiday season. The Clerk of the Board. was instructed to prepare an advertisement for sealed bids to be received for the purpose on Friday, November 14, 1947 , at 9:30 a . m. Frank Lombardo appeared before the Board requesting one .I"ieur.:- restricted parkig in ,front of his place of .lousiness at 15th and North E Streets . This matter was referred to the Traffic Division. Mr. Keisker moved that upon the recommendation of the Chief of the Fire Department that he be and he is authorized to purchase a • Pontiac automobile pursuant to the bid submitted by Campbell Auto Sales for mn8 cylinder Pontiac automobile . Said bid' having been accepted by the Board of Public Works and Safety, Mr. Hodgin seconded it and it was so ordered. A bid was received from George Moore for the Bankowski house for ;.425 . Mr. Food gin moved that. this bid be accepted. Mr. Keisker seconded it and it was so ordered. • • A street light was requested at 326 College Avenue and another was requested ,at Park Place and South llth. This matter was referred - to the City Engineer and the Chief of Police .
