Messrs . Earl Ileisker, S. 1:. itodgin and int'ield Urban being present the following proceedings were had to wit: The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Mr. Sharon Ward presented a petition to the Board requesting a street light at South 13th and L Streets . This matter was referred to the City Engineer and Traffic Division. Upon their recommendation, lir. "I-Iodgin moved and Ylr. Keisk_er seconded that the Clerk be instructed to notify the Light Plant to install a street light at the said place . It was so ordered. Par. Charles 11cGuir.•e requested that the stop sign at South 18th and i.teeveston road be replaced. T;-1is vas referred to the Street Commissioner. Dr. Faulkner requested that the curb at 29 South 12th Street be repainted. This was referred to theStreet Commissioner for attention. A petition was received from Warren Sti gleman requesting remission to cut the curb at 510 South 8th Street . Permission was granted. Fire ,Chief Los 1iilliarns reported to the Board that of his s own personal knowledge , Fireman Linnic Cool: vas ruptured on November 23, 1945, while pulling hose at the 1:cCle l land Casket Hardware Co. According to Chapter 71 of the Lots of 194-1, the City is responsible for medical care in such cases ; consequently Dr . I'_alcolm was notified TO proceed ith a surgical operation in the cat if necessary, expense for same to be billed to the City of Richmond. The f ollowi.mg instruction was issued to all department heads . After this date all accidents and injuries to any employee in their respective der;art:ments must be reported to the Clerk of the Board within 24 hours time and made a matter of record.
