SAFETY CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA • FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1947 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board, Friday, October 10th, 1947, at 9 a. m. Messrs. Earl Keisker, S . W. Hodgin and Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had to wit: The minutes of the preceding' meeting were read and approved. Upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, Mr. Keisker moved that a stop -sign be installed at Whitewater Boulevard, north of the traffic circle, south of the Main Street Bridge. Mr. Hodgin seconded it and it was to ordered. No bids having been received on the old Bankowski house near the City Garage, re-appraisal was sought and the appraisement was reduced to $125.00. Report was made by Anna Williams, 731 North 12th Street, that she had broken through the boards of the walk on the North 10th Street bridge, slightly injuring herself. This matter was reported to the State Highway Commission through the Police Department for attention. • Frank Marino spoke about the condition of the alley from I to J, east of 10th Street. This matter was referred to the Street Commissioner. A petition was received from John Ellis for permission to cut a curb at 1117 North J- Street. Permission was granted. • After allowing claims in the amount of $6,280.86, upon proper motion the Board adjourned. • • • • Prsident Attest: 2°1141)4--46 Secretary
