The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of hicbm end,
Indiana , met ,:in regular session in the office of the Board, Friday,
October -3, 1947, at 9 .a. . Messrs . Lan Keisker, S . V . Hodgin
and !,infield Urban being present the following proceedings were had
to wit :
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Hodgin moved and Mr. Keisker seconded that the Clerk of the
Board be instructed to notify the Light Plant to install a street
light on South 13th and H Streets . It vas so ordered.
A petition was received requesting a street light on South C
Street at the alley between 13th and loth Streets . This matter
was referred to the Traffic Division.
Upon the recommendation of i r. Burkhardt and Br. Duckett, Mir.
Keisker moved and ,Ir . .odgin seconded that parking be restricted for
one hour on the south side of North i, from lth to the first
alley east . It vas so ordered.
The Coo,-erative Club was ft-1- e:i permission to paint signs on
the sidewalks advising pedestrians to walk on green light only.
This being the day that bids were to. be received on the
Bankowski house at 603 Garden Avenue and no bids having been
received, the disposition of the p ropers,, was left opendd.
After allowing claims n the amount ofn 21,745 .03, upon
proper motion the Board adjourned.
A petition was received from Jos . Aufterkanip for permission
to cut a curb for entrance to 2 car garage at 241 South 6th Street .
Permission w a s granted.
